Postby G4YVM » Mon Aug 17, 2015 7:29 pm

Can anyone tell me what the prices of the 101 in c1970 was, and the price of a UK 101ZDMk3 in c1980 was?

Ive trawled the internet but keep drawing a blank.

Hi David

I have a small Yaesu collection covering the last 5 decades. I have a late late 101E and had found by researching old advertisements which included buying old Radcoms off eBay and the new RSGB compilation CD that in 1975 (the year of mine) it was selling at about £480. A check on the rate of inflation over the years (from the internet) meant that was a 2012 equivalent cost of about £5000 !!!!!

1965 £500 now £5300
1975 500 now 5000
1985 500 now 1600
1995 500 now 850
2002 500 now 650
2012 500 now 500

OK?
