I use the YC-355D on my FT-101B and it works fine. Just plug it in the RF jack in the back. Mine is located just below the fan.

The YC-355D is a frequency counter. By connecting it to the RF jack (RCA), you get the low level RF on transmit only.

It will give you a firly accurate transmit frequency depending on the calibration of the YC-355D.

It is not possible to use the YC-355D as a display for the rec'd frequency.

To get an idea of what is needed to display both the transmit and receive frequency, take a look at the manuals for the YC-601 and the YC-601B, both manuals are available on this web site.

The aade display is the easiest and cheapest way to go. I have done the mod and if done carefully its really nice.
