YO-100 Monitorscope

Postby AD7GR » Wed Oct 31, 2007 2:37 am

What the current price range would be for the YO-100?

Would it be a good addition to the shack to use with modern, transistorized, transceivers?

Thanks,

Ed, it's always nice to have a monitor scope to view your OUTPUR signal on the display. For the most part it will do little to improve your station once everything is set up properly and you know where to set the controls on the transceiver. However it's very handy for those days when something just doesn't work right / or look right / or sound right on the other end. You might be able to pin-point something out of whack or just turned up too high, for example one may have their processor turned up to high and this might be obvious by the patter displayed on the CRT of the monitor scope. It is especially useful when running A.M. mode to monitor the amplitude modulated waveform.
