FT 890 and Yeasu FL2100B

Postby K8BEC » Sat May 07, 2011 11:30 pm

This may seem like a stupid question, but here it goes. I have a Yeasu FT 890 and have recently came into possession of a Yeasu FL 2100B. When running the amp can you run it at lower power than what is rated for. I have read the manual and it states that it requires the full 100 watts to the amplifier. I know with other amps you can vary the amount of drive to the amp which then lowers the input watts to the antenna. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
