FL2100B help needed

Postby g7soz » Sat Aug 16, 2008 9:25 am

I'm currently repairing an FL2100B that had a high input SWR when I increased my input power to anything over 30w. I have have replaced the two 33ohm resistors that were cracked and burnt, but whilst I was replacing them I found that one of the capacitors on the valve base (see photo) was cracked in two. Being new to equipment repair and circuit reading, I wonder whether somebody could help me identify the spec of the capacitor so that I can find a replacement? Also, is there anything else I should check for before I try testing the amp?

Hi Simon,
I'm not home right now, but that capacitor rigs a bell. I've seen those blow in the past. For some reason it strikes me that thing said 5P on it.
I think 5 pico farad ??? I could be wrong, but I don't think so.
