Has any body tried using 6lr6 in place of the 6js6c??
It shows it to be a sub for the 6js6c in the tube substitution handbook.
Or is there a differance in them?? and will or would they work in the FT-101E
Thanks for your time

It's not a good idea to sub any tube out for the 6JS6, unless you're willing to fight neutralization problems. Also be careful because Yaesu used some of the pins under the tube socket to run screen voltages from one tube to the next and some tubes although they look the same in the books the pin out of some tubes can actually create a short when used. Do these substitutions at your own risk. Fox Tango members recommend to use 6JS6 tubes as they are still readily available any day of the week on Ebay, so why screw up a good rig!
